Engine Compartment Cleaning
Bay degreased and dressed. No water on electronics. Looks like a service tech's daily.
An engine bay detail is more than just a cosmetic upgrade; it's a vital part of vehicle maintenance. Removing built-up grease, road salt, and debris prevents long-term corrosion and helps your engine run cooler by allowing heat to dissipate more effectively. Furthermore, a clean engine makes it much easier to spot potential leaks or frayed belts early, potentially saving you from costly repairs down the road.
What's included
- Cool-down check - engine must be stone cold before any product hits it.
- Sensitive electronics (alternator, fuse box, intake) covered with plastic to keep them dry.
- Degreaser sprayed across the plastic engine cover, hoses, valve covers, and visible metalwork.
- Hand agitation with detail brushes where grease has built up.
- Low-pressure rinse - never high-pressure, never aimed at connectors.
- Air-blower pass to push standing water out of crevices.
- Dressing on plastic and rubber to bring back the deep black finish.
Who it's for
- Higher-mileage cars where the bay has gone gray with road film.
- Pre-sale prep - buyers pop the hood and a clean bay reads 'well maintained.'
- Car-meet or show prep.
- Anyone who hasn't had it done since the car left the dealer.
The fine print
Add-on only. Engine must be off and fully cooled at appointment time - we won't work on a hot motor. If you have aftermarket electronics or modifications, mention them when you book so Kevin can plan around them.
